mantou's rolling adventures

tonight is the last night in Lund, and the end of exchange.
heading to Portugal and Spain for another 10 days for holidays after this.

I remember first coming here and thinking OMG, WHAT A BORING PLACE.
it was cold (TERRIBLY COLD) and got colder and colder.
we tell our friends not to visit Lund cos there is nothing interesting here.

Little did I know I've started to enjoy the peace and serenity Lund provides.
I always feel happy coming back after trips and returning to this little room.
The people in Lund are also incredibly nice and friendly and I couldn't have asked for more.

The friends I've made here also played a big part.
I don't know how I would have survived without them, thank you to every single one of you.
It has been an incredible experience.

I rmb saying if given a choice I would have chosen another place, perhaps Japan etc.
But now, I think I would have chosen Lund again.
It is so different from big and hustling cities like London or busy places like Singapore,
and I've learned so much.

I hope I would have a chance to return to this little city in Sweden again :)

OMG SO FAST SO FAST.

and HQ is leaving tonight ._.

But okay, back to the trip!

On Day 3, we went to... BELFAST! :)

its in Northern Ireland and they use pounds instead of euros~

we signed up for a tour by Paddy Wagon and its 60 euros per person cos we bought it online and had some discount WHEEEEEEE.

they had 2 timeslots and we chose the later one, but it was still early.

STARTS AT 7.30AM.

got some macs bfast before meeting the tour hehe.

nom nom hashbrown. my first hashbrown since leaving Singapore hahah.

I had something called Breakfast Roll NOM NOM SO YUMMAYE ^^v

its like sausage mcmuffin but with bacon and tomato or brown sauce! you can choose.

pardon the blurry picture, the bus was moving.

The bus ride was SUPPERRRR LONG.

like 3-4 hours before we got to our first attraction, which is the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.

the bus driver super cool, he was in charge of driving, telling us stories, making sure everyone came onboard after every stop etc.

the fees for crossing the bridge was not included! 5 pounds or 7 euros.

you can pay in either currency.

Unfortunately, the weather was TERRIBLE :(

omg.

we got soaaaaked.

cos the walk to the bridge itself is about 20mins so two ways takes about 40mins + crossing the bridge, taking pictures etc = about 1 hour in the rain.

I wasn't very drenched but the rest were DRIPPING WATER.

so from this point onwards you had to have a ticket!

anywhere before this part is free.

we were DAMN SCARED.

hahaha we kept squealing and all when crossing the bridge.

after that the bus went to this place for lunch, they serve traditional Irish food.

YUMMAYE.

the dishes were all prices at 8.95pounds each.

As usual, we couldn't finish the food :/

so much potatoes OMG. it was either fries or potatoes and we were sick of fries so tada.

Guinness Pot Pie, think this was the nicest :)

Chicken Pot Pie... which was ok-ok only.

the most worthy meal cos it included slabs of meat hahaha.

I forgot the name of the dish whoopsie.

the Irish stew which was great for a rainy day.

8.95 also included ice-cream!

en route to the next destination: Giant's Causeway!

it was another 2 hour ride I think.

so dizzzzzy.

tickets are included in the price of the tour YES AH~

when we got there, all we could think of is.... DRYING OURSELVES hahaha.

so Shir chiong-ed to the toilet and we all followed.

only after we felt drier and more comfy did we continue lol.

thank god we had more time here!!

everyone being unglam drying stuff hahah.

thank god the weather got better :D

when we saw TONS of ppl, we knew we have arrived at the rocks hahaha.

think its possible to take a bus from the gallery, 1.50 pounds or smthn.

but its not a long walk so we didn't~

after that we left for Belfast City!
but before that the driver/ guide drove to the castle used in Game of Thrones for about 5 mins for a picture.

I don't watch the show so I have no idea... but there it is.

it was another 1 hour ride to Belfast City! ahhhhhh.

SO FARRRRR.

we only had 1 hour so all we did was.... SHOP

HAHAHAHAH.

new look was cheap so we stayed there the entire time!

on our way back we saw a RAINBOWWWW!!
super pretty *inserts big grin.
but I didn't take any pic with my camera cos the bus kept shaking and there was reflection T.T

reached Dublin about 8.30pm and everything was closed :(
so we settled for Subway!
