Explorers of Djurgården (Stockholm Day 2)

DAY 2 WHEEE HEEEEE.

it was predicted to rain T.T so we thought we shouldn't do any outdoors stuff,

BUT we did anyways and I'm glad we did :)

Because... it didn't rain at all!!! It was a bit cold but overall okay!

We decided to head to Djurgården, which has the Vasa Museum (very famous) and Skansen (an open air museum + zoo HOW COOL RIGHT) and many other museums of course :)

Maybe it was the Easter break, we saw many little children and their families.

BREAKFAST FOR CHAMPIONS. 

hahahah, I kid, just normal food.

We bought this card, like the ez-link (4 of us shared 1) and used it for buses/trains.

and it cost us 5SGD per person per trip ._.

MY POOR WALLET.

took a bus for about 15mins to the island!

there was this lake thingy in between the two islands,

SO PRETTY. the picture does not do it justice.

 

en route to the Vasa Museum and we saw another museum~
so prettyyyyy.

the entrance... which isn't very obvious hahah.

we paid the student price for the museum YAY, was SKE100 (SGD20)

think the adult price is 130, and those below 17 go for free.

THE SHIP.

the whole museum was based around this ship, and also general living conditions of sailors.

The whole exhibit was about 4-5 stories, and super informative.

We spent about 2 hours there I think, was quite nice :)

There was a guided walking tour in English which started at 10.30am when we arrived,

but its pretty short so yea, have to walk on our own after that.

we left about 1pm and was shocked to see the queue outside...
LUCKILY WE CAME EARLY!!!

after that, we decided to head to SKANSEN :)
since its on the same island, about 10 mins walk away.

TADA!! this is actually the side entrance (LOL) and maybe thats why the queue is shorter?

 

they had really cool farm houses all around, and even the people dressed like the medieval times.

 

a real bakery!!!

we chanced upon this while walking towards the centre of the zoo for FOOD.

yummy pastries heheh.

also had an awesome view of Stockholm (even better if the trees are not there ER HERM)

 

there was like a fair going on, think its due to Easter!

this was the kids meal actually for SKE60 (SGD12)

cooking pancakes with charcoal, the primitive way!

 

everyone held their cameras up trying to capture a picture of the seals when they appeared hhahaah.

it was really a pretty place, and VERY HUGE.

like 2 times the Singapore Zoo maybe?

worth a visit :)

think its SKE110 or something.

we busked in the sun for a bit and chatted till 4.30pm?

the other 3 were happily talking about hamsters and I just.... went to look for a toilet

HAHAHAHA.

not a huge fan of animals/pets. THEY SCARE ME.

and then it was time to head for DINNER!

couldn't find any cheap/interesting looking food and thus settled for MACS.

It felt like a super productive day heheh,
and the weather was kind to us, the sun appeared at 4pm YAY.
happy happy :)
